UPCCA land use meeting

A UPCCA land use meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 7:30 pm in the Senior Center of the Robert D. Fowler Family YMCA, 5600 West Jones Bridge Road.

The agenda for this meeting is the application by the Gary Holding Group, LLC to rezone an 8.96 acre tract located at 5701 Spalding Drive (currently occupied by Faith Life Church and daycare) from R-100 (single family residential) to O-I (office-institutional). A senior assisted living facility similar to Noble Village at Sugarloaf www.noblevillage-sugarloaf.com is proposed for the site.

Representatives of the developer will discuss the proposal, present plans and answer questions.

This application is scheduled to be heard by the Planning Commission on May 19, 2009, and the Board of Commissioners on May 26, 2009.
